hello again...

Let's be honest people...how exciting can life be when your best friends look like THIS:

Just kidding!  We hopefully aren't that boring!  Here are our last-weeks-of-summer-birthdeversary-extravaganzas.

Don't tell my parents, but Soph went on her first bonafide date. Somehow Micheal Flynn learned how to drive, so we let them take the Miata.

Thayne and I celebrated our 24th birthdays and our first anniversary.  He is such a great gift-giver.  I got these gorgeous slash adorable silver bow earrings, a huge bouquet of tropical flowers, and the single best year of my life full of growth, learning, love, hilarious times, and pure JOY.  Didn't I say he was a great gift-giver?

Many a great time were had by the Bourne family on an evening walk up the canyon. Love you fam!

Okay, this is awesome.  Our stake throws together every year an antique car show.  Incredible.  I'd say we saw about 70 beauties.   My favorite was basically THE exact car that the Pink Ladies drove from the movie Grease, but we totally failed at taking a picture.

What a gomer.

The cutest girl on earth started seventh grade.  Check out those purple pants, the ruffles, the curls! (by yours truly), that smile!  What a babe....watch out Olympus Bulldogs, Sophie Bourne has arrived!!!

Thayner still thinks I'll be able to learn how to golf one day...funny joke.  When I'm not unearthing huge chunks of giant dirt-clods, I'm completely missing the ball and pretending it was a practice swing.

The Utes successfully beat Northern Colorado...I'm pretty sure Olympus High beat them last year too.  Thank you Spafford's for inviting us to your luxurious seats...we appreciate you!

I believe the words beforehand describing this 4-wheeling adventure from Glen's (my awesome father-in-law) mouth were "it's a lovely path through the mountains and up the canyon...really beautiful...enjoyable ride...easy."  Let me translate Glen Davis into normal English "it's a death-defying shale cliff switchback through a waterfall that slowly breaks away leaving one or two wheels hanging off the cliff as you wonder what your last word's will be to your spouse...really (truly) beautiful...fun, Indiana Jonesesque ride...you might die".  That about sums it up.  Joke.  It was pretty scary in some parts...but for my first real experience 4-wheeling, I loved it and had a wonderful time. :)

Oh good gravy.  Caroline Knudson.  I'm obsessed.  Especially because she yells EMMY when she sees me and she is hilariously mischievous.

The only thing on earth that can top Caroline Knudson is THE cutest little girl ever...Haven Bourne.  Her and her lovely mom (my sister-in-law slash old roommate slash boy and style consultant-extrordinaire), Ashley Bourne swung by for a visit and stayed about a week.  Pure awesomeness.  Haven has her dads smarts and cunning ability to wear a diaper without anyone knowing ;) and her mother's luscious hair, figure, fashion sense, and hopefully her ability to marry awesome people (I originally wrote "fertility" but that was pretty darn creepy) so she too may multiply and replenish the earth with a plentitude of adorable children someday in the future.  Thanks for the visit Haven and Ash, we sure loved seeing you!  Ps- how I managed to NOT get a picture of me and ash is beyond me...next time!  Love you!
